For sale is a 1964 230SL Pagoda I purchased on a recent trip to California. This is a very original, unmolested, matching numbers Pagoda finished in white with a red interior, and comes with a clean California title. As should be expected from a car that has spent its life garaged in California, this is a rust free example as illustrated by the accompanying photos, including those of the underside. The coachwork is in very good condition, save for the odd spot of peeled paintwork, reflected in the price, and combines very well with the matching hubcap wheels and whitewall tyres. The interior is in superb condition with no rips/tears or signs of wear. This Pagoda also includes a very rare rear jump seat. The paint work is in excellent condition, as are both the soft and hard tops. All the electrics are working.
Mechanically, this Pagoda is in excellent order, with tight, responsive steering, suspension working as new with no knocks/untoward noise, and appropriately sharp brakes. The original engine is running very well, with a smooth idle, and this Pagoda runs through the gears very nicely. The exhaust is in excellent condition, with no blows, knocks or rattles, and has a very nice tone, owing to the lovely straight six engine.
