The car was originally dispatched to the USA on the 19th August 53 to Fergus imported cars inc of New York. It was taken off the road in 1970. I acquired it in 2016 and finished the total restoration in 2017.
All the work on this car has been carried out meticulously at a nut and bolt restoration level. It has a reconditioned moss gearbox, a newly trimmed leather interior, Mercedes period ‘middle red’ paint and a powerful 104bhp TR4A engine which makes it far more fun than other Vanguard engine cars!
Also featured in the “Automobile” magazine (April 2019).
